Yosemite Lodge is located where Fort Yosemite once
housed the U.S. Army Cavalry while it protected and managed Yosemite National
Park. The Lodge was built in 1915 to accommodate the expected increase in
park visitors as a result of San Francisco's Pan-Pacific Exposition. The
Yosemite Lodge has 229 lodge rooms and 19 standard
rooms with daily maid service. (Please note: The Lodge does not have air
conditioning in any guest accommodations.) Somewhat larger than the standard
hotel rooms, the lodge rooms open to a patio or a balcony and have a private
bathroom, dressing area, activity table, chairs and telephone, but no television.
Standard rooms are similar to a typical motel room and are furnished with
beds, desk, chairs, private bathroom and telephone, but no televisions. The
Yosemite Lodge Food Court is open all year, the food court serves breakfast,
lunch, coffee/snack service and dinner daily. You will also find the Mountain
Room Restaurant, nearly every seat this restaurant has an outstanding view
of the 2,425-foot-high Yosemite Falls. Open daily, for dinner only. The Mountain
Room Bar is open daily, for guests to enjoy cocktails each evening. Four
televisions provide coverage of major sporting events. The Mountain Room
Bar provides a perfect setting to unwind and share stories with old freinds
and new friends alike, after a full day of adventure in Yosemite National
Park! You will find on site different shops, a swimming pool, a post office,
a tour and activity desk, bicycle rental desk a and free shuttle service
to various locations in the park is accessible.
